Description:

Generally, grommets are used when the wires pass through punched or drilled sheet metal or plastic casings. Grommets are manufactured in a wide variety of sizes and shapes for different purposes.

Grommets are made of rubber or other elastomers which can reduce the vibration in the transmission, particularly in the equipment subjects to vibration or jarring. Grommets could also protect the wires and cables from contamination of dirt, air, and liquid.
